With the 2012 Paralympics on the horizon, the Government has said now is the time for British businesses to start preparing to be part of the Paralympic Games by improving disability access as a way of becoming more profitable as well as more socially responsible.

In a nutshell….. All service providers have a duty to ensure their services are not discriminatory to disabled people.

To simply the legislation, we run training programmes covering the principal legislation around disability and how this impacts on service providers. The workshop exercises allow exploration of how services can be improved in a variety of ways to meet the needs of disabled people and assists staff in understanding a wide range of physical, sensory and cognitive and learning disabilities. Practical sessions include facts and figures, finger spelling, terminology and case studies. The training can be tailored to meet specific business needs.

We also can help businessess  implement a Disability Policy and do recommend that all business owners and managers consider either attending a workshop or an access audit for their premises.
