The ISO 9001 is one of the most widely used management tools in the world today.

ISO 9001 deals with the fundamentals of quality management systems, including the eight management principles:

      ·   Customer focus
      ·   Leadership
      ·   Involvement of people
      ·   Process approach
      ·   System approach to management
      ·   Continual improvement
      ·   Factual approach to decision making
      ·   Mutually beneficial supplier relationships

This is the best known of the ISO series.  ISO 9001 specifies the basic requirements for a quality management system or QMS.  As a business grows, it makes sense to introduce an internationally recognised QMS to demonstrate to your clients and potential customers that yours is a business to be trusted.

Acquiring ISO 9001 accreditation is often presumed to be time-consuming and costly, but the fact is that if you already document your in house quality system there probably won’t be as much to do as you might think.  A big plus is that certified organisations are much more likely to win new business and to have an improved financial performance when compared with those which are uncertified.  Added to this, many contracting bodies require their suppliers to have ISO 9001 accreditation before they award them any contracts.  The increase in turnover more than covers the cost of putting the system in place.

At Westminster Compliance we have the knowledge and experience to prepare your organisation for successful accreditation.  We provide a friendly, helpful and reasonably-priced service.
